A new mid-range by Huawei has been announced and it called the Huawei Y9s, it seems the Y9 series is Huawei mid-range classic smartphone to beat others to the full screen and camera in the mid-range market.
The release of the Huawei Y9 Prime is not up to a year and here is another one from the Y9 family which is a rebrand of the Y9 Prime and in some ways similar to Honor 9X Pro which bags the in-house Kirin 710F chipset found on the original Y9 and some pretty good features.
The China-US trade war which has gotten Huawei into the mess of not being able to use Google OS has made the company release some products that are meant for next year, but since they are already registered to use Google’s OS (Android) without side-loading any of it apps before their time runs out of permanently being locked out of the deal, Huawei had no choice than to launch those products.
It Techvember, so yeah
The device is set to be launched soon and available online for purchase as soon as it is launched. Huawei Y9s features a full-screen notch-less display just like the Y9 Prime with tiny bezels to all sides, nice design and color gradient (mid-night black and breathing crystals which is my favorite) which makes the device looks stunning. The rear side is clean without the fingerprint sensor, the sensor position was changed to the side where the power button is located (it can be used as power lock), it fast and secure.
The display is a 6.5-inches display with a 1080p screen resolution, a pop-up camera with 16MP camera which has the same features as the Huawei Y9 Prime that can be gotten in the Nigerian market. Huawei Y9s is equipped with a huge 6GB RAM which is an upgrade compared to its brother with 4GB RAM, a 128GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 512GB using an SD card.
There is a triple camera setup at the back but this is different from the one found on Y9 Prime. We have a 48MP main shooter with + 8MP ultra-wide camera lens + 2MP depth sensor lens for portrait shots, the device is to run on EMUI 9.1 based on Android 9 Pie OS.
The volume rocker remains above the fingerprint sensor that acts as a power button, we have a Type-C USB port which is sign that Huawei is dumping the traditional USB port on all it mid-range devices gradually, a 4,000mAh battery capacity which lasts long with no doubt if you have experience either of Huawei Y9 or Y9 Prime.
