Honor V30 and V30 Pro has been launched in china today and here is our first impression. The Honor V30 and V30 Pro are the first smartphone by Huawei sub-brand to feature the 5G, the devices come in cool design with nice high end specs. Honor V30 and V30 Pro are full screen devices with a double punch-hole that houses the double front camera, we have a total of five cameras on both devices with some difference between them.
To the back is a cool gradient back color design and the Honor V30 and V30 Pro will be available in four colors; blue, black, white and orange. The overall design looks simple, there is camera bump that houses the rear triple camera with the flash light.
Honor V30 and V30 Pro features a large screen of 6.57-inch FHD+ display. The display is just as the honor view 20 and that’s not the only similar specs they share, they also have the side fingerprint sensor in common. The selling point of the Honor V30 and V30 Pro will be it triple camera specs and it doubled hole-punch that houses dual front camera.
In terms of design, I’ll go for the Honor V20 anytime, the Chevrolet pattern is just too lit.
On the back of the Honor V30 and V30 Pro is a bump just like what we have seen on other devices like Google Pixel 4, iPhone 11 and so on. The camera bump houses a triple matrix lens and cine-matrix cameras respectively, and among them is a 40MP primary lens with f/1.6 aperture on the pro version and f/1.8 on the v30, accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle lens of 12MP on the V30 Pro, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens on the V30 and lastly, a 3X optical zoom which is an 8MP sensor and Basically, all the camera lens on the rear side are equipped with dual OIS which is great.
Inside the hole-punch is a dual camera of 32MP main shooter and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The camera on the view 20 is a good one so I expect more on the view 30 and with a 48MP shooter with a large aperture, it should be awesome but it might not be the best out there.
On the inside is the Kirin 990 SOc with 6GB/8GB of RAM and an internal memory of 128GB/256GB which can be further expanded. Gaming on this device should be a good one because of the integrated GPU Turbo and Kirin Gaming+ v2.0 on both devices, and running on the Honor View 30 and View 30 Pro is the magic UI v3.0.1 which is based on Android 10.
Bonus: Both devices support 5G
Battery life should be ok for high-end users as Honor packs the V30 and V30 Pro with 4,200mAh and 4,100mAh battery capacity respectively with a 40W super-fast charge on both devices. The Honor V30 Pro supports 27W wireless charging.
Both devices are set to go on global sale soon, and the Honor V30 price in Nigeria for the 6GB/128GB version might be between 120k – 150k, while the 8GB/128GB might cost an additional 20k.
Honor V30 Pro price in Nigeria for the 8GB/128GB version might be between the price range of 180k-200k and an additional 20k for the 8GB/256GB version.
