Vivo has finally launched the Vivo V15 and V15 PRO with a full-screen display, big RAM and internal storage, great design, super AI triple camera at the rear and a pop-up camera for selfie.
VIVO V15 AND V15 PRO DESIGN AND DISPLAY
VIVO V15 and V15 PRO is designed to fit into the palm and catch the eyes, and offer a cinematic viewing experience. VIVO V15 and V15 PRO have a spectrum ripple design with a 3D curve back making it look more premium than VIVO NEX.
The device has thin bezels to the top, right, left and a small screen chin to the bottom. Both devices are coming into the market in a stylish color gradient; an eye-catching blue and black hues and deluxe black and red.
VIVO V15 display occupies up to 87% of the screen, featuring a 6.53” inches IPS LCD display with 2340 x 1080p display resolution resulting in ~395 PPI density, a fifth-generation 2.5D Corning gorilla glass to create a vivid and real-time viewing experience and also protect the display from scratches and dust.
V15 PRO features a 6.39” inches Super AMOLED display with a screen to body ratio of 84%, 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 2316 x 1080p resolution resulting in ~404 PPI density. It has a 2.5D glass covering the display to give it that look with a curve edge and this is without display protection.
VIVO V15 and V15 PRO CAMERA
The devices are camera-centric phones. Both devices are equipped with triple rear camera design which is AI oriented. V15 bags a 28MP primary camera with an f/1.78 large aperture, 1/2.8-inch sensor and a double pixel focusing.
The primary camera is accompanied by an 8MP AI wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP depth camera for blurring background with f/2.4 aperture.
The VIVO V15 PRO sports a 48MP primary lens with F/1.8 wide aperture, plus an 8MP AI wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 5MP depth camera for blurring background with f/2.4 aperture and the night shots on VIVO is awesome with AI.
VIVO V15 and V15 PRO front camera are equipped with a 32MP camera lens with features like AI face beauty, AI lightening effects and etc.
Talking about the AI main function, well, the AI integrated into the camera software helps shape the body on both devices. The AI body shaping grants the re-shaping of the body parts like the waist, head, shoulders, legs and etc.
VIVO V15 and V15 PRO PERFORMANCE AND OS
VIVO V15 and V15 PRO are both powered by a powerful processor. V15 is powered by a flagship chipset; the MTK Helio P70 which is also found on the recently launched ELEPHONE U2 with massive specs and a pop-up camera just like the VIVO V15 and V15 PRO.
The processor is an Octa-core with a clocked speed of 2.1GHz and is further assisted with a 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage for operating the device seamlessly and the internal storage can be further expanded up to 256GB using a memory card.
VIVO V15 PRO is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675AIE octa-core processor which delivers premium performance. We have a 6GB/8GB RAM model of the V15 PRO with 128GB internal memory which can be further expanded using an SD card up to 256GB.
Both devices run on Funtouch OS v9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie and the device is said to receive an update of the Android Q which is coming soon.
Now to the power; we have a 4,000mAh non-removable battery capacity with a fast charging technology (Dual engine fast charge tech) on the V15, while the V15 PRO is powered by a 3,700mAh battery capacity with same fast charging tech.
why do they have to make the battery of the V15 larger than the V15 PRO is probably a market strategy, fans either go for the camera, processor or for the power, very wise?
OTHER SPECS
VIVO V15 is designed with the traditional fingerprint style located at the back, while the V15 PRO features an in-display fingerprint sensor. Both devices are equipped with Bluetooth v5.0 and they support the following connectivity features: OTG, GPS, FM, and Wi-Fi with 2.4GHz/5GHz with 4G LTE.
Sensors include: Accelerometer, ambient light sensor, e-compass, gyroscope and fingerprint sensor.
VIVO V15 and V15 PRO PRICE IN NIGERIA
V15 is sold for 110,000 naira ($315) while the V15 PRO goes for 163,000 naira ($467) which is way too expensive, to be honest.
The Elephone U2 has quite the same specs and super in design and camera than the V15, yet it cheaper.
