Xiaomi will be releasing another one of its smooth eye-catching camera-centric device this month and it is originally launched on the 4th of February, 2019 in china but it is set to go on sale on the probably some days after being launched. The device will be called the Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 and its target is to do well in the high-end category with the aim of taking on the likes of Vivo, OnePlus 7T, Realme 5G phone, Samsung S20.
Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 DESIGN
Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 is well built, I’ll give it that. The look of the back is its beauty and instead of the camera bump like the ones we have on iPhone 11, Google Pixel 4, OnePlus 7T and others, Xiaomi has implemented the one similar to Realme 5T or Samsung Note 10, but this one is centralized. The shiny ring design around the cameras looks cool too.
The body is made with Aluminum Alloy and Glass Body which makes it weigh up to 208g with the battery and this device is designed in three colors; Red, Blue, white and purple which for sure will reflect when lights stumble upon it.
Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 DISPLAY
The Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 will feature a full screen (double hole-punch screen) IPS, LCD capacitive touchscreen with 6.67 inches FHD+ display. The device will have a refresh rate of 120GHz and HDR10 which is so cool because it will give room for “extreme gaming”, the screen resolution is 2400 x 1080p with a pixel density of ~395 PPI (Pixel Per Inch), 24 -bit color depth which is not bad at all.
It also features display protection (Corning Gorilla glass 5) which will make the device free from scratch and dust, a 2.5D curved surface made the phone look so good on the front and with an aspect ratio of 20:9, it looks as though the whole screen is the display.
Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 Hardware and software
This is my favorite part of the phone, and Xiaomi didn’t disappoint. Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor with Octa-core. The processor is not the best out there but it will do very well in getting operations done on the device quickly, it is also being supported by a 6GB or 8GB of RAM with 64GB/128GB/256GB of internal storage which can be further expanded using a memory card of up to 256GB.
It features Qualcomm Adreno 620 GPU which means gaming on the Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 should be just fine and great and users will be without the worries of their device getting heat up as Xiaomi has implemented a liquid cooling system. The device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor just like what we have on the Huawei Y9s, and Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 is to run on the latest Android 10 with a customized user interface (MIUI V11), so no stock Android guys, but the MIUI V11 is pretty cool.
Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 camera
Pocophone is always camera oriented and just as the last version of Pocophone proved to be good with both hardware and software to produce brilliant images, the Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 is ready to do more than that with a four-camera design at the rear and two cameras at the front which is housed by the double punch-hole.
We have a 64 MP main shooter with f/1.9 aperture and SONY IMX686 sensor, an 8MP with f/2.2 aperture + 2MP with f/2.4 aperture + 2MP with f/2.4 aperture, and without the review of the camera, you should know that Pocophone doesn’t disappoint when it comes to getting you the close to perfect shot for your social media pages.
Features like Slow Motion, Digital zoom, Optical zoom, Digital image stabilization, Ultrawide, Scene mode, and Macro mode should be 100% guaranteed on the device. The front snapper has a 20MP lens with f/2.2 Wide aperture and a 2MP f/2.4 for depth sensing.
Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 battery
Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 houses a 4,500mAh Li-Poly (Lithium Polymer) battery capacity with 30W Fast Charger in the box which can juice up the device from 0% to 100% in 57Min with the supports of Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+. It also supports a wireless charging technology which is a plus.
Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 Other specs
Xiaomi Pocophone Poco X2 will feature the 5G network along with 3G and 4G LTE. As usual, it will have a dual SIM slot which will be Nano only, and It is designed with USB 2.0 Type-C which supports OTG, users will also get a Bluetooth v5.0, and a very disappointing feature that is missing will be the water-resistant feature but it fine as we can still do without it.
